Narex Right & Left 20 mm (13/16 Inch) Skew Paring Chisels

These chisels, produced by a small tool manufacturer in the Czech Republic, are of exceptional quality. The blades are crafted from fine-grained, well-tempered chrome-manganese steel and hardened to Rc 59, allowing them to take and hold an excellent edge. The blades are accurately ground, with a slimmer cross-section preferred by woodworkers. As with all edge tools, they will require sharpening before use, but these chisels offer excellent value in a high-quality tool.

This set of right and left skew chisels is designed to cut cleanly and easily when trimming tenon shoulders and dovetails, getting into corners, and dressing end grain. The blades are ground to a 30-degree skew angle and have a 25-degree bevel, making them highly efficient for these tasks. The blades measure 13/16" or 20 mm wide and 4 ¾" long.

The handles are made from stained Hornbeam, a super-hard European wood. They are 5 1/4" long and 1 1/4" in diameter, with a brass ferrule. The overall length of the chisels is 10". Each set comes with an edge protector, but no retail packaging.
